6 Animals struggling to survive global warming

Muskaan Gupta

Ecosystems are changing dramatically due to climate change, making it more difficult for many species to survive. Wildlife is being pushed to the limit by habitat loss, rising temperatures, and shortages of food. Animals find it difficult to adjust to these quick changes, which frequently results in population decreases or dying out. These 6 animals are having a hard time surviving the effects of global warming.

Due to shortages of food brought on by melting ice, polar bears are finding it more difficult to survive in the face of global warming. The melting sea ice makes it harder for them to hunt seals, which is their main food source, and forces them to travel farther, which consumes their energy and puts their survival in risk.

The Golden Toad, once found in Costa Rica’s cloud forests, is now at risk due to climate change. Their habitat has been disturbed by rising temperatures and falling moisture levels, which has made it more difficult for them to survive. This has caused breeding pools to dry out and made them more vulnerable to fungal diseases.

The largest mammal on Earth, the blue whale, is in danger from warming waters, decreasing food supplies, and habitat change brought on by climate change. Their main food source, krill, is becoming less available as a result of these changes, making survival more difficult.

Ringed Seal

As sea ice, which is vital to seals' ability to rest, breed, and hunt, melts due to global warming, they are fighting for their lives. Their survival is at risk by reduced ice because it restricts the amount of food available, shows them to more attackers, and changes their life cycle.
