Ritik Raj
Non-veg foods: contain a large amount of purines, which can aggravate arthritis by raising uric acid levels.
Refined carbohydrates: such as those found in bread, cakes, and cookies—can cause an increase in uric acid levels.
Alcoholic beverages: Only moderate consumption of alcoholic beverages is advised due to their high purine content, which can exacerbate inflammation.
Pulses: are the food item with the highest purine content and should be eaten in moderation.
Purine-rich foods: Patients should limit their intake of purine-rich foods in order to lower their uric acid levels.
Vegetables: Due to their high uric acid content, steer clear of foods like cauliflower, asparagus, spinach, peas, and mushrooms.
Sugary drinks: Fruit juices and sweetened sodas should be avoided as they may cause gout attacks.
