Praying mantis: The female praying mantis is famously known for eating their mate during or after mating.

Octopus: Some species of octopus have cannibalistic behaviour. When the male is smaller in size, the female octopuses strangle them during mating.

Black widow spider: They eat their mates after mating. This is said to increase the chances of reproductive success.

Sagebrush crickets: In some species of sagebrush, the male crickets offer themselves as a feast to female crickets after mating.

Anaconda: It is not common but in some cases, the female anacondas cannibalised their mates after mating.

Sea slugs: Some species of sea slugs tend to eat their male mates after mating.

Chameleons: It is observed that the female chameleons would eat the males after or during mating.

Honeybees: Honeybees and some other species of bees eat their partners during scarcity or when the partner is no longer needed for mating.

Scorpions: The female scorpions sometimes eat their partners to gain more energy for childbirth.
