Who flies PM Modi’s Air India One airplane?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi travels in a Boeing 777 model aircraft equipped with the latest technologies.

The plane was received in October 2020 after being ordered by the Government of India during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The aircraft is believed to be worth Rs 8000 crore.

India has purchased two such twin-engine aircraft from the American Boeing company, one for the Prime Minister and one for the President.

PM Modi's Air India One aircraft uses the very powerful GE 90 engine.

The aircraft is equipped with a Missile Approach Warning System, which helps the pilot detect and counter missile threats using sensors.

The Indian Air Force is responsible for the maintenance of PM Modi's plane.

The plane is flown by special pilots of the Indian Air Force who have received special training in America.
