India, known for its diverse landscapes and natural beauty, is also home to the only active volcano in the country.

Barren Island, situated in the Andaman Sea, is the only confirmed active volcano in the Indian subcontinent.

With its last eruption recorded in 2022, this volcano continues to exhibit infrequent activity, captivating scientists and nature enthusiasts alike.

It's interesting to note that the first recorded eruption of the volcano dates back to 1787. Since then, the volcano has erupted more than ten times.

Barren Island in India is a wild and adventurous spot in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

The island is home to a live volcano that erupts with hot lava, making it a risky place to visit.

As the name suggests, it is an uninhabited island and also prohibited from visiting because of safety reasons.
