Educational qualifications of TATA group Chairman Emeritus Ratan Tata

Born on December 28, 1937, Ratan Tata is a prominent Indian industrialist and philanthropist known for his remarkable contributions to the business world and society at large.

He held the position of chairman at Tata Group for an impressive 22 years, from 1990 to 2012, and also served as interim chairman from October 2016 to February 2017.

His dedication to public service was recognized in 2008 when he received the prestigious Padma Vibhushan, India’s second-highest civilian honour, following his Padma Bhushan award in 2000.

Ratan Tata studied at the Campion School, Mumbai till the 8th class. And then went to John Connon School, followed by Bishop Cotton School in Shimla. 

He graduated from Riverdale Country School in New York City in 1955 and then enrolled in Cornell University at age 17 and graduated in 1959 with a bachelor's degree in architecture and engineering.

While at Cornell, Tata became a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi Fraternity. He completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School in 1975.
