In this Hubble Space Telescope image, wispy gas clouds and an unusual "superbubble" take center stage.
In 2009, Hubble used its new Wide Field Camera 3 to capture the bipolar nebula NGC 6302, also called the Butterfly Nebula or Bug Nebula, as it fluttered through the Scorpius constellation.
The object captured by Hubble is called HH111, located about 1,300 light-years from Earth in the Orion constellation.
In 2019, the Hubble team released this image of the hourglass-shaped Southern Crab Nebula to celebrate the telescope's 29th anniversary.
It is also among the most massive and luminous X-ray sources in the sky, spanning approximately 110 light-years.
The image showcases the central area of the Hubble Deep Field, created from exposures taken in 1995.
