The Ingenuity helicopter, operated by NASA, has completed its 50th flight.

The small helicopter flew 1,057.09 feet (322.2 metres) in 145.7 seconds on April 13. In addition to that, a new record height of over 60 feet was attained.

Video from Ingenuity's 47th flight was also made public by NASA. Mastcam-Z, an imager on NASA's Perseverance rover, shot the video on March 9, 2023.

Every time Ingenuity takes to the skies, it explores uncharted territory and provides a vantage point unavailable on any prior planetary trip.

In addition to navigating more difficult terrain, NASA has announced that Ingenuity will be in the air more often in the following days.
