However, there are several players who have only played for one team in IPL history. Let’s have a look at them.

Prithvi Shaw

India star opener Prithvi Shaw has been one of the most retained players for Delhi Capitals. He has played 72 matches for the franchise since he first joined in 2018, scoring 1737 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah

India star bowler Jasprit Bumrah has been with Mumbai Indians since 2013. During his stint with MI, he won five IPL titles (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2020) and stands as the second-highest wicket-taker (151) for the franchise.

Sunil Narine

Former West Indies cricketer Sunil Narine has been one of the most retained players for KKR. During his 13-year-long association with the franchise, he has won two IPL trophies in 2012 and 2014. He is also the highest wicket-taker for the franchise by dismissing 183 batters.

Kieron Pollard

West Indies power hitter Kieron Pollard joined MI in IPL 2010 and played for over 13 seasons. Currently, he is the second-highest run scorer for MI with 3915 runs.

Lasith Malinga

Former Sri Lanka fast bowler, Lasith Malinga joined MI in 2009 and retired from the franchise after winning the 2019 season. He precedes Jasprit Bumrah in the list of taking most wickets (195).

Shane Warne

Late Shane Warne led Rajasthan Royals to win the inaugural season of IPL in 2008. In his four-year association with RR, he dismissed 58 batters, which is the third most wickets taken for the franchise.

Virat Kohli

India star player Virat Kohli is the only player in IPL history to have played for only one franchise. He has been with RCB since the inaugural season in 2008 and is the highest run scorer for RCB (7868 runs) and overall in the tournament’s history (7444 runs).

Sachin Tendulkar

Former India batter Sachin Tendulkar has player for MI in five seasons (2008-2013). During his stint, he scored 2599 runs and also won the 2013 IPL title.

Rishabh Pant

In 2016, India wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant joined Delhi Capitals and has been one of the most retained players for the franchise. He is the top run scorer for the franchise with 2935 runs.
