IPL 2025 auction was highly anticipated event where 10 teams competed to fill 204 spots from pool of 577 talented players.

Day 1 of the auction showcased 84 players going under the hammer.

Rishabh Pant became most expensive player as Lucknow Super Giants secured him for Rs 27 crore.

Pant's record-breaking deal occurred just 20 minutes after Punjab Kings acquired Shreyas Iyer for Rs 26.75 crore.

Sunrisers Hyderabad added fast bowler Mohammad Shami to their roster for Rs 10 crore.

KL Rahul did not go for a massive price. Instead, Delhi Capitals got him for Rs 14 crore.

Arshdeep Singh, one of the world's best T20 bowlers, was sold for Rs 18 crore.

Yuzvendra Chahal was sold to Ricky Ponting-coached Punjab for Rs 18 crore.

Jos Buttler became most expensive overseas player on Day 1 of auction, as he was sold to Gujarat Titans for Rs 15.75 crore.

Meanwhile, 2nd day of IPL 2025 Mega Auction will be held at the Abadi Al Johar Arena in Jeddah on Monday.
