Delhi Capitals' captain Rishabh Pant got in trouble for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct after his team maintained a slow over-rate during Match 56 against Rajasthan Royals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi on May 7.
Because of this, he's been suspended for the next match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
He also has to pay a big fine of 30 lakh rupees.
Other players from his team who were in the game have been fined too, either 12 lakh rupees or half of their match fee, whichever is less.
The team appealed against this decision, but the cricket board looked into it and decided that the punishment stays.
Along with Pant, DC's director of cricket Sourav Ganguly, head coach Ricky Ponting and CEO Sunil Gupta talked about it during a meeting.
In their appeal, DC mentioned several reasons for the delay, such as RR players hitting 13 sixes during the game and the controversial dismissal decision involving Sanju Samson, which took extra time.
However, it was decided that they didn't provide specific data showing exactly how much time these events added to the match.
