Yoga poses to reduce depression, anxiety

Here are some yoga poses that may help alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety

Kneel on the floor, sit back on your heels, and then lower your forehead to the ground while reaching your arms forward or resting them alongside your body.

Child's Pose

Lie flat on your back with your legs extended and arms resting by your sides, palms facing up. Close your eyes and focus on relaxing each part of your body.

Corpse Pose

Begin on your hands and knees with a neutral spine. Inhale as you arch your back, dropping your belly and lifting your gaze Cow Pose.

Cat-Cow Pose

Stand with feet hip-width apart, hinge at the hips, and fold forward, bringing your hands towards the ground or resting them on your shins or thighs.

Standing Forward Bend

Lie on your back with knees bent and feet hip-width apart. Press into your feet to lift your hips towards the ceiling, engaging your glutes and thighs.

Bridge Pose

Sit sideways against a wall with your hips as close to the wall as comfortable. Swing your legs up the wall as you lie back, keeping your arms by your sides.

Legs-Up-the-Wall Pose

Incorporating these yoga poses into your routine, along with deep breathing and mindfulness practices, can provide relief from symptoms of depression and anxiety
