Warning signs of heart failure in women

This is one of the most common symptoms of heart failure.

Shortness of breath

Persistent fatigue or feeling unusually tired, weak, or exhausted, even after adequate rest, can be a sign of heart failure.

Swelling in the feet, ankles, legs, abdomen, or other parts of the body  is a common symptom of heart failure.

While chest pain is often associated with a heart attack, women with heart failure may experience chest discomfort, pressure, or tightness.

Irregular heartbeats, fluttering sensations in the chest, or feeling like the heart is pounding or racing  can occur in women with heart failure.

Difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep due to shortness of breath, coughing, or discomfort while lying down

Difficulty sleeping

Experiencing a sudden increase in the need to urinate during the night may be a sign of heart failure

Increased need to urinate at night
