Delhi will witness a 4-day dry spell

The reason is the Delhi Legislative Assembly elections 2025.

The Delhi Excise Department has announced a list of dry days in February, during which liquor stores and establishments serving alcohol will remain closed.

As per the Excise Department's notification, liquor stores will be closed from 6 pm on February 3 to 6 pm on February 5.

Additionally, these stores will also remain closed on February 8, the day of the vote count.

During these dry days, liquor stores, hotels, restaurants, clubs, and other establishments serving alcohol will not be allowed to sell or serve liquor.

Farmhouses within Delhi's borders will also be prohibited from hosting liquor parties.

The dry spell will come to an end on February 9, when liquor stores will resume normal operations.

The notification also stated that various establishments, regardless of their license type, must not be allowed to serve liquor during the dry days.
