Getting enough sleep based on age is essential for your body.

The need for sleep varies with age. Therefore, sufficient sleep is crucial for both physical and mental well-being.

Inadequate sleep raises the risk of issues such as weakened immunity, cognitive decline, obesity, heart disease, mood swings, and hormonal imbalances.

Experts recommend that young adults aged 18 to 25 should aim for 7 to 9 hours of sleep, as it is crucial for optimal brain function.

Individuals aged 26 to 44 should aim for at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night. Likewise, those between the ages of 45 and 59 need 8 to 9 hours of quality sleep to maintain strong immunity.

According to a report of Sleepfoundation, people aged 60 and older are more susceptible to insomnia.

Thus, individuals should strive to get ample sleep and establish a consistent schedule for both going to bed and waking up each day.

This helps maintain a healthy body clock. It's also beneficial to spend more time in natural sunlight and to have lighter meals in the evening.
