Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen SPF 30 or higher, and wear protective clothing, hats, and sunglasses.

Lighten up your diet

Swap heavy meals for refreshing fruits, vegetables, and salads to stay hydrated and energized.

Dress for cool comfort

Wear loose breathable clothing in light colors that reflect sunlight

Stay active

 Exercise to maintain fitness, but avoid the hottest parts of the day.

Listen to your body

Don’t push yourself too hard in the heat, take a break and avoid overexertion.

Prioritize sleep

Remember to get plenty of rest to rejuvenate your body and avoid looking at electronic screens before bedtime.

Be aware of heat advisories

 On scorching days, limit outdoor activities and take frequent breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas.

Insect protection

Use insect repellent with DEET or other EPA-approved ingredients to prevent bug bites and diseases.
