Bitter gourd, also known as bitter melon or karela, can be enjoyed in various delicious ways

Slice the bitter gourd thinly and stir-fry it with garlic, onions, and your choice of spices.

Stir-fried Bitter Gourd

Thinly slice bitter gourd, toss it with a little salt, and let it sit for a while to draw out some of the bitterness. Then, coat the slices lightly in chickpea flour (besan) seasoned with spices like turmeric, chili powder, and cumin. Fry until crispy for a tasty snack.
