1. First country to reach Moon's South Pole: In 2023, India's Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft helped the country achieve the significant milestone of being the first nation to reach the Moon's South Pole.

2. Fastest 5G rollout: India also had achieved the fastest 5G rollout in the world. 

3. World's largest meditation centre: Varanasi shelters the world's largest meditation centre, Swarved Mahamandir that can seat 20,000 people at a time.

4. World's longest river cruise: The world's longest river cruise, 'MV Ganga Vilas' began the single longest river journey by a single river ship in the world, covering over 50 days through 27 river systems in India and Bangladesh.

5. Record yoga session: A Yoga session entered the Guinness Book of World Records for seeing participation from 147,952 people in Surat, Gujarat on 21 June 2023.

6. World's largest aircraft deal: Air India ordered for 470 planes: 250 with European plane maker Airbus and 220 with American giant Boeing, priced at over $70 billion.

7. World's fastest growing economy: India became the fastest-growing major economy globally, outdoing the UK to claim the fifth position. 

8. Topped digital payments: As per MyGovIndia data, India topped the list for digital payments and recorded 89.5 million transactions.

9. World's largest office building: In Surat, Gujarat, cthe world's largest office building -Surat Diamond Bourse was built spanning 659,611 square metres.

10. World record for most diyas: Ayodhya 'Deepotsav' set a new world record with over 22.23 lakh diyas being illuminated.

11. World’s biggest tunnel escape operation: On November 12, 41 construction workers were rescued from an under-construction tunnel in Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi district.

12. World’s most populous country: By surpassing China, India is now the most populous country globally, recording 142.86 crore people, compared to China's 142.57 crore.
