However, despite being inaugurated on January 22, people celebrated it's 1st anniversary on January 11. Today we will tell you why this happened.

This decision to celebrate the anniversary on January 11 is rooted in the lunar calendar as Hindu rituals and festivals are traditionally observed according to lunar dates which hold deep spiritual significance.

The consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir took place on Paush Shukla Paksha Dwadashi, which is the 12th day in the full moon cycle of the Paush month.

In 2024, this special day fell on January 22 which marked the historic event. In 2025, as per the Hindu lunar calendar, Paush Shukla Paksha Dwadashi falls on January 11. This date holds deep spiritual meaning and is aligned with traditional Hindu practices.

The 51-inch black stone idol of the five-year-old god, or Ram Lalla, is opened for darshan for everyone.
