While Fadnavis' political career is well-known, his relationship with his wife, Amruta Fadnavis, is less talked about.
Amruta, a singer and actress, has continued her career while supporting her husband in politics.
Devendra and Amruta got married in 2005. Amruta is the daughter of well-known doctors Sharad and Charulata Ranade.
They met at a mutual friend's house for an arranged marriage. What was meant to be a short meeting turned into a conversation that lasted an hour and a half.
Amruta was initially unsure about politics, but she found Devendra to be honest and down-to-earth when they met.
Amruta has said that Devendra is not romantic and his focus is mainly on politics, with little interest in romance.
