Kalki Dham: All about UP's Sambhal temple

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday laid the foundation stone of the Shri Kalki Dham temple located at Aichhoda Kamboh in Sambhal.

The Kalki Dham Temple to be constructed over a five-acre land and will take nearly five years for the construction to be completed.

The common factor between this temple and the Ayodhya Ram Mandir and Somnath Temple, is that all three are being constructed using the same pink-coloured stone.

The architecture ‘shaili’ is also the same and therefore no steel or iron frames will be used in its construction.

The ‘shikhara’ of the temple will be 108 ft high and its platform will be build 11 feet above; a total of 68 places of pilgirmage will be established here.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Acharya Pramod Krishnam, chairman of Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust were also present at the present at the occasion. Speaking before the foundation stone was laid Acharya Pramod Krishnam said "Lakhs of devotees will be present here.

The temple is being constructed by the Shri Kalki Dham Nirman Trust whose chairman, Acharya Pramod Krishnam, was expelled by the Congress for 'anti-party remarks'
