Gangster-politician Mukhtar Ansari died inside Banda district jail on March 28.

Atiq Ahmed, along with his younger brother Khalid Azim, was shot dead while being taken to a hospital for medical examination.

Gangster Munna Bajrangi was shot dead inside Baghpat jail allegedly by another jailed gangster Sunil Rathi on July 9, 2018.

Gangsters Mukeem Kala, Mirajudeen, and Anshu Dixit were shot dead inside the Chitrakoot jail on April 14, 2021.

A close aide of underworld don Chhota Rajan, gangster Khan Mubarak died at Hardoi district hospital within an hour of being shifted from the district jail for treatment.
