Summer in India means indulging in mouth-watering mangoes. Here you can explore exotic hotspots and savour the diverse flavours of the king of fruits.

Andhra Pradesh: Andhra Pradesh is a top mango-producing state, with a prominent variety including Allumpur Baneshan, Banganapalli, Bangalora, Cherukurusam, Himayuddin, Suvernarekha, Neelam, and Totapuri.

Ratnagiri, Maharashtra: Alphonso mangoes are prized for their taste and appearance, with Ratnagiri in Maharashtra being a prime producer.

Junagadh, Gujarat: Kesar mangoes, known for their saffron hue and sweet flavour, are called the 'Queen of Mangoes', primarily grown in Junagadh, Gujarat.

Lucknow and Malihabad, Uttar Pradesh: Lucknow is renowned for Dashehari mangoes, known for green peels and rich taste, available from mid-May to late August.

Murshidabad, West Bengal: This place is famous for mangoes like Kishan Bhog, Himsagar, Nawabpasand, and Begumpasand. 

 Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh: This place is known for Chausa mangoes, available July-August, famous for their yellowish colour and distinct aroma.

North Karnataka: Badami mangoes, available May-July, are known for their taste and often called the 'Karnataka-Alphonso' locally.

 Punjab: Bombay green mangoes, available from May to July, are medium-sized, green mangoes.

Bangalore, Karnataka: Totapuri mangoes, also known as Bangalora, are medium-sized, greenish-yellow, and prized for their distinct taste and aroma.

Goa: Mankurad mangoes, available from April, are prized for their sweetness, low fibre, and flavour, often considered better than Alphonso.
