India's financial hub, Mumbai, is home to the highest number of billionaires.
Of the top 100 richest people in the nation, Mumbai is home to 33 billionaires, including Mukesh Ambani, Radhakishan Damani, Dilip Shanghvi, and others.
Delhi comes in second, with 20 billionaires living there. Influential businesspeople including Savitri Jindal, Sunil Mittal, Shiv Nadar, and Kushal Pal Singh reside there, as do the headquarters of conglomerates with a variety of enterprises.
Called the Silicon Valley of India, Bengaluru ranks third, with ten out of the top 100 billionaires.
It is no surprise that most of the billionaires in Bengaluru, such as Azim Premji, NR Narayana Murthy, and Nandan Nilekani, are leaders of the IT industry.
Ahmedabad is home to seven billionaires. The city is one of India's major centres for manufacturing. The notable names of the city are Gautam Adami, Hasmukh Chudgar, Karsanbhai Patel and Pankaj Patel.
