In July 2022, Reliance Brands Limited (RBL) and Spanish luxury fashion house Balenciaga reached a long-term franchise contract, establishing RBL the exclusive partner for the luxury brand in India.

Jimmy Choo, British high fashion brand, produces upscale footwear, handbags, accessories, and scents. One of Reliance Brands' subsidiaries, Genesis Luxury, markets and distributes the international brand in India.

Since 2013, RBL has been working with Michael Kors to develop the brand in India.

When Reliance Brands, a division of Reliance Industries, acquired the upscale retail business Genesis in New Delhi in 2018, it also acquired Emporio Armani and Armani Exchange.

One of the many brands owned by RBL in India is Ermenegildo Zegna, a leading name in luxury menswear and one of the most well-known companies in Italy.

In order to bring the brand to India in 2016, Reliance entered into a franchise agreement with Dutch underwear manufacturer Hunkemoller International BV in 2015.

Hugo Boss AG, a German luxury fashion brand, switched to Genesis Luxury Pvt. Ltd. as its Indian partner in 2016, replacing UAE-based Bin Hendi.

The oldest clothing company still in business in the USA is a clothing retailer that was established in the early 1800s and makes both home furnishings and clothing for men, women, and children. Apart from these brands, Mukesh Ambani has backed many other international brands in India.
